Since 2010, 40 Tribes has provided the ultimate setup for adventurous, experienced skiers and riders to explore Kyrgyzstan’s remote Tien Shan Mountains.
They offer a winter-ready yurt camp situated at 2,600m with immediate access to 3,600m summits, overlooking the second largest alpine lake in the world. The yurts are run in collaboration with locals from the village at the foot of the mountains you play in, contributing an irreplaceable intercultural element to the powder riding experience.
POGO ski teamrider Ptor Spricenieks has been the lead guide for six years now for 40 Tribes in Kyrgyzstan and is stoked to continue to be part of the evolution of riding powder in the Tien Shan for years to come. As he puts it: “40 Tribes is a perfect fit as a tranquil and undeveloped mountain scenario that will provide great riding without an exploding scene for years to come. It’s how I prefer to ski and the powder there is just too good to be true.”
Starting this winter a fine collection of POGO splitboards, skis and powdersurfers will wait at the yurts for you. Your chance to try excellent equipment in excellent conditions and experience something really special.
